If My Life Were a Board Game

If my life were a board game…

I would be at that part where you draw a bunch of shitty cards in a row, are down to your last bits of health, and were just forcefully turned away from the main quest. Things are looking bleak and moves are limited. Just lost a boss fight and managed to barely escape with your life. Items lost, armor lost, weapons lost. All but one. That shitty little dagger you started with.

But then you realize if you combine the shitty cards you drew, it creates a health potion and gives you a new badass quest with amazing rewards. Because of the boss fight, your resilience, toughness, and strength all just leveled up and you have the opportunity to replace those crappy items, weapons, and armor with new and better stuff.

While you are recovering and rearming you discover it’s actually an open-world game and there is no main quest. And you the quest you had originally chosen was kind of lame compared to what else is out there.

If my life were a board game I would be sitting in town, wide eyed at all the amazing paths and choices in front of me. I’m at a point where I could dam near change classes and completely reassess how want to take my character. Rogue? Warrior? Wizard? Thief? Paladin?

If my life were a board game I would be astounded by my options and opportunities. Experience and stats built up from previous quests, about to move out into the open world stronger, better, and faster. Wiser and with a backpack full of new loot and major opportunities to kick some ass and have some fun.
