Why Aren't There Tabletop Games for These Movies & Books?

Got a great idea for a board game, maybe one based on a popular movie? Maybe one based on a piece of literature? Here are some ideas we are wondering why someone hasn’t made these yet. Get on it!

10. Moby Dick - Obsessively chase a great white whale across the board, but watch out for storms, no wind and mutinous crews…and your leg.

9. Alice in Wonderland - Cruise back and forth, through and over, under, sideways down, chasing the rabbit, enjoying tea with the hatter, all the while avoiding the demented queen. Could be fun. “We’re all mad here.”

8. Fury - Command a tank crew in the waning days of WWII working your way across central Europe tanking on SS & Wehrmacht troops. You can be Shia LaBeouf, I’ll be Brad Pitt. Hooah!

7. The Invisible Man - Play as Griffith as you sneak about town trying to remain hidden. Or, play as a Scotland Yard detective hot on the trail of a crazed invisible murderer.

6. Army of Darkness - Grab your boomstick and head on over to the middle ages. There’s knights, witches, warriors, Deadites and a 1973 Olds Delta 88. Who could ask for more? “Hail to the king, baby!”

5. Tombstone - Play as Doc Holiday or one of the Earp brothers. Maybe as a Clanton or Johnny Ringo. Gamble, duel, rob and shoot your way through Arizona. Take on others in a quick draw contest or rustle some cattle.

4. The Road Warrior - Yes! Build and chase others around the board in souped up maniacal machines. Track down the three essentials, water, food and petrol. Avoid Humungus and his gang while saving the citizens of the apocalypse. “I am gravely disappointed. Again you have made me unleash my dogs of war.”

3. Roadhouse - Patrick Swayze and Sam Elliot roundhouse kicking the crap out of every drunk patron that dares to get out of line. Three rules: One, never underestimate your opponent. Two, take it outside. Never start anything inside the bar unless it's absolutely necessary. And three, be nice...I want you to be nice until it's time to not be nice.

2. Little House on the Prairie - not the crappy one from the 80’s but a more complicated tale of getting into frontier trouble, but eventually doing the right thing, and learning a lesson in the process. Thanks, pa.

1. The Untouchables - Part mystery, part police procedural, play as Elliot Ness or, better yet, Al Capone. Cops against mobsters

Which movie do you want to play in board game format?

As always, play more games!
